| To RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}, from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} x261 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}5/KW.31.1.34. B-23-AE. Streamline Car. ---------- Will you please modify this chassis as follows :- (1) Fit C.10 engine unit for tests on high speed roughness. (2) Fit Peregrine Gearbox with reduced overhang of the rear coupling. Y-4-BB. Unit. ---------- Further to our memo, asking you to fit Camshaft, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1260, to this unit when it is replaced by C.10 unit, will you please remove main bearings 2, 4 and 6, so that we can run the engine on the bearings common to a four bearing engine; namely, 1, 3, 5 and 7. Means will be retained to retain the oil pressure, but we think the crank pin lubrication will be sufficient. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Grylls. | ||
