For the attention of -. Grylls Esq:
Dear Sirs,
CLUTCH PILOT BEARINGS WITH OILITE CAGES.
We would confirm having despatched by passenger train this morning, three special LJ.25 bearings, these being of the same overall dimensions as the bearings shewn on your drawing E.86186, but fitted with 'Oilite' cage, and having the modified track as discussed during our telephone conversation, the detail of the modification being shewn on our drawing X.2428, copy of which is enclosed.
You will note that our design is with a view to obtaining better functioning than we consider would be obtained by the design shewn on your drawing, in that a normal inner track is present, the outer track being entirely parallel. This design will also greatly facilitate assembly, as the outer ring can be independently fitted into the crankshaft recess, and the inner ring complete with balls and cage can be independently fitted on to the clutch shaft.
We trust these will fully cover your requirements,
Enclosure
