EFC2/AH.2.11.30 contd. -2- Upon testing the electrical performance on the bench we found this to be practically unimpaired. The low speed figures obtained were 85 r.p.m. in the advanced position. 110 " " " central " 180 " " " retard " Taking into consideration the use of tungsten points, which have a higher contact resistance than platinum, these figures are good. We have every confidence that these Watford EW6A magnetos with tungsten points are going to be more reliable and give less trouble as a result of contact points wearing away, than the EW6 type machine with platinum points which are being replaced. We are sending for R's inspection of the good condition of these points, a tungsten pointed screw and tungsten tipped lever removed from this magneto. EFC. | ||
