Reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}21/KW6.11.35, we sent a message through to you yesterday by telephone to the effect that we were not proposing to continue the construction of the steel body with aluminium panels for the Bentley because Park Ward had admitted that they have not found a way of making it as satisfactory as the steel body. The trouble they have struck is the attachment of the aluminium panels to the steel frame-work. Therefore, there is not likely to be any progress in this direction for the time being, and whether Park Ward get over the difficulty of attaching the aluminium panels remains yet to be seen.
