To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to C.J. c. to B.J. X4086 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LGL2.10.22. 7-GOSHAWK-11. X3609 X4086 It has been arranged that I go to Paris tomorrow in order to try 7-Goshawk-11 under French road conditions after it has completed its work at the Paris Show. 7-Goshawk-11 is a car fitted with a Saloon body. It is the same car that was driven 10,000 miles by the Amateur drivers. There were several complaints that this car was unsafe to drive over the French roads. The car since then has been fitted with the latest side steering tube and I am taking with me various ranges of springs and also the scheme to provide more friction in the pivots. This car is also fitted with the latest type fan and we propose trying the car on the same hills on which it failed before owing to boiling. The car has been modernised in all respects.
