H.T. IGNITION CABLES FOR PRODUCTION CHASSIS.

We issued to you under cover of our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.17/MA., a specification for the above cables. The dimensions of the cable were given as .277" to .292" overall diameter.

These dimensions were greater than those on the cable tested as we considered some safety margin was desirable.

It has been pointed out to us however that it is impossible to accommodate the cable in the wiring tubes and ferrules if delivered in any size greater than the 7 mm (.276") and we were requested to make the limits on the minus side, i.e. .276" -10.

We have given this matter consideration and agree that the limits be on the minus side but we wish to point out that a systematic inspection should be made of all batches of production cable delivered to us to make sure that in no circumstances is the bottom limit, i.e. .266" reduced.
