IGNITION CABLES FOR PRODUCTION CHASSIS. ------------------------------------------ With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA.18.11.35. we find that the new cable can not be fitted on production chassis without altering the size of conduits etc., in addition, it has now been proved that our trouble is due to the cables having to be twisted to get them in the conduits. In view of the above, there does not seem to be any point in introducing the new cables which incidentally would cost 2/11d. more per chassis. We propose to allow the Works to continue building chassis with the present standard high tension cables, but it is proposed to use the new cable for making the connection between the coil and the high tension distributor, and this will be done immediately we receive some further information from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} We understand that E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is going to give us a scheme for larger conduits for all three chassis, in order to avoid the necessity for twisting the cables.
