"SgL London" [London is struck through] copy "HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" Derby X4117 Psl/JP.3/3/27 RE CHASSIS 4-NK (Mr.Stanley MORTIMER) This car has just arrived in our Garage, from Lilly Hall, I was rather surprised to see that this car should be shod in a manner which produces the worst conditions on a Rolls-Royce car. A description of these tyres may interest you: N/S front "DUNLOP" tread worn plain. (wobbles of the O/S " Diamond treaded "NEW GOODYEAR"(worst type. O/S and N/S Rear Diamond treaded "NEW GOODYEAR"- ( Vibrations and in conjunction with wheel discs (tyre periods worse (than any noise axle (& growling transmi-(ssion can produce. N/S Spare wheel....... Half worn out "GOODYEAR" O/S " " ....... "NEW DUNLOP" It does make one feel ill to know that the Company spend lots of money and energy in arriving at data for the benefit of ourselves and our customers, to see how the advice may be reversed with.
