RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} X 4-20. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/MA.4.11.32. P.II STEERING. Will you please look into the possibilities of converting a Silver Ghost front axle to roller bearing pivots and ball thrust in a similar manner to the P.II axle recently converted on 20-EX. The object of this is to approach as nearly as possible to American practice, which employs a larger transverse pivot angle than on P.II and which is approximately the same as on the Silver Ghost. We obtained a suitable axle from the Repair Dept. some time ago for this test and it is at present in the yard. We should like this fitted to 20-EX. when modified, to be tried out in conjunction with the Cadillac steering column. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
