We have discussed the welding with the frame suppliers, and we have already received delivery of improved side members welded to modified instructions as regards pitch of the spot welds.

We have to realise that the Sciaky process of welding is still somewhat new to these people, but that they are improving their knowledge and experience, and we have every confidence that welding of this type should prove to be consistent and reliable. We are still anxious that a bumper chassis should be got ready and tested as soon as possible to the existing design as until this is done we shall be unable to do any extensive road testing such as that involved in sending a car to France.
