853290. RECEIVED AUG 1930 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to WOP. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ROX6/MG22.8.30 Front Wing Stays for 20 HP. Chassis As you are aware, we have had carious instructions regarding supply of these details over the past few months, and now gather it is proposed to fit an entirely new design of Stay, i.e., Piece Nos. 572278 and 572256 to the 20 HP. Chassis, commencing with No.51 "Z" Series. These changes are costing considerable sums of money - as far as the new design is concerned the Tools alone will cost some £150 - and this note is to ask if it is possible to avoid this big expense in any way. Kindly advise. I do not know if West WitteringHenry Royce's home town are aware of the big Tool charges involved in such details, but suggest it might be wise to let them have these facts also.
