the cap has considerably more load exerted on to it, than the opposite side, thus wearing the washer unevenly and getting an uneven bedding.

We find that these modifications are very effective, the spilling being considerably less than with the present type of filler. We also tried this mod. on 1.J.III, and found it a little better than on 20/25 HP. probably due to the fact that 1.J.III has 3 baffles inside the tank instead of 2 baffles fitted in the 20/25 HP. tank.
