SPECIFICATION OF TEST RIGS.
MISCELLANEOUS.
17. Deflection Tests - Heavy Duty.
Large beds 12' x 8' x 1' grooved on all sides to take .750 diameter bolts, 5" centres. Flanged internally for securing to pit rails. Safe load 15 to 20 tons. To slide along pit rails - present rail centres 4ft. 2 ins.
18. Deflection Tests - Light Duty.
Small bed 6' x 4' x 6", raised 2'6" from the ground - existing.
19. Torque reversal test RIG.
Heavy duty joggling endurance rig driven from line shaft, speed adjustable by pulleys to approx. 1,000 R.P.M. Existing rig strengthened up. To test model cranks, levers, steering worms, etc.
INSPECTION & MARKING OFF TABLE.
20. Small inspection table complete with centres, box plates (2 off) "V" blocks (2 off) and angle plate (2' x 1' x 1') slotted. For marking test pieces before and after test. With lock up cupboard underneath for preserving tackle.
OFFICE.
21. Enclosed. To contain writing desk, drawing board, file cabinet, and book rack - for box files etc.
22. ART METAL CUPBOARD.
Lock up cupboard for instruments, gauges, etc.
23. BED PLATE.
To accommodate existing 15 HP. A.C. variable speed motor for use as transportable unit - see note re pits and work not catered for by fixed rigs. Bed plate 8' x 2' x 6".
24. BED PLATE.
To accommodate existing 5 HP. A.C. variable speed motor with 20/25 gear box attached for use as transportable unit - see note re pit - and work not catered for by fixed rigs.
