X.3066 STANDARDIZATION SHEETS.

Referring to EFC2/T. 10. 6. 20. also attached memo EFC1/AT. 5. 5. 20. I certainly think that the notes in question referred to on the last memo, lettered a, b, c, and d, could be, with advantage, incorporated in the Standardization Sheets for Chassis Parts.

I would like to state, however, that apart from any question of urgency being discussed, I always go carefully into where any particular part shall be brought on, and the particular points at which it is brought in is invariably governed by the amount of trouble we have had with the part displaced.

For example:-

(1). The new Friction Clutch parts for the Starter Gear on the second Motion Shaft will be replaced on all Post-War Cars retrospectively.

(2). The Black Fibre Tube for High Tension Wiring was not brought in until chassis 1001 of the Post-War program mainly because after discussing the matter with yourself and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, I was not impressed with the fact that any very marked advantage was gained.

(3). In the case of the Actuating Box, I actually ordered the wire, and issued instructions to wind the stronger coils, before the Standardization Sheet
