5. GUNS WITH ALUMINIUM CRADLES.

It was agreed that any of the first fifty guns allocated to the Admiralty, would have aluminium cradles.

Mr. Ashworth concurred that the exact number delivered with aluminium cradles would be left indeterminate, and would be decided by the air ministry requirements.

6. PRICE OF THE GUN.

This would be fixed by agreement between the B.U.S.M. and the P.T.C.O.

7. PATTERNS AND DIES.

Rolls Royce patterns and dies would be handed over to the B.U.S.M. There might be some difficulty in changing forging dies from one hammer to another and, until this had been overcome, Rolls Royce would consider carrying on with the forgings.

8. PROOF TEST OF GUNS.

A hundred percent strip and crack test would be required after proof test.

9. ASSEMBLY.

It was emphasized that the assembly of the first few guns at Rolls Royce would be a protracted process as the opportunity would be taken during assembly to rectify all drawing limits.

B.W.S.M. would send over fitters immediately to start learning the job.
