SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ve. Rb.{R. Bowen} Blk. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} (part-time.) 1. CONTRACT FOR SPARES. It was agreed that the Contract for these should be kept separate from the Contract for guns. Ve. estimated that spares would not amount to more than 5% of the guns. A list of what is required has already been sent to the Admiralty. 2. MACHINE TOOLS. Blk. said that 16 machines would be required by the B.U.S.M. Six of these he had provisionally located, with machine tool factors. Mr. Ashworth agreed to obtain the remainder. Machining capacity was at present being estimated on a basis of 100 hours per week per machine. 3. BARREL STEEL. Mr. Ashworth said that the English Steel Corporation had expressed a preference for Vibrac steel. He asked Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} to get the E.S.C. to confirm this fact in writing. 4. DELIVERIES. The deliveries tabulated in the note prepared by Blk. did not refer to completed guns.
