X.2375 To EY. from EFC. EFCL/T24.4.24. X.2375 - WATFORD E.6 MAGNETO - EX CHASSIS 115-EE. -LIECHTI- We have now completed the tests requested on this machine by your EY11/P21.3.24, and the results are in accordance with our report WA.{Mr Wallis}22 herewith. It is, of course, known that the slow speed sparking characteristics of this machine are distinctly inferior to those of the EO.6, for which the slowest speeds at which regular sparking will occur on 5.5 mm. gaps in air are specified in the production specification to be:- Fully advanced 270 r.p.m. Central 210 r.p.m. Retarded 200 r.p.m. You will also see that the contact breaker points, with the exception of slight hump and pit formation, have not appreciably deteriorated. The magneto with its own contact breaker, together with contact breaker used for the tests, which latter please return, are returned to you herewith. EFC. | ||
