1254 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 30th October, 1937. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Bates, Esq., Specialloid Limited, Friern Park, North Finchley, N.12. Dear Sir, Thank you for your letter of October 28th. We shall be pleased to see your Chief Engineer, Mr. McConnell, any time you really feel that any mutual benefit can be derived from such an interview. We believe, however, he is aware of the present position with regard to the testing of Specialloid pistons in our Factory. Regarding the Guarantee of your own car, the last thing we wish to be is unreasonable, but as we have previously pointed out the 15,000 miles road test is the only basis upon which our Guarantee could function, and there is no possibility of any exception being made to this procedure in this case. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
