Messrs Ferodo. Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

For the attention of Mr. Langley.

Dear Sir,

This is to confirm that we should like to have you measure the coefficient of friction and rate of wear of wear of the five materials which were left with you yesterday; namely, Spauldite, V.G.91, plain and bakelised Jackson board, and the American stuff.

We have looked into our stock of bakelised Jackson board and find we have sufficient to put in as the top two interleaves on one car, with enough left over to send to Woodhead to test on their rig if they are able to.

If they can we should like them to test also plain Jackson board and V.G.91. As we have no plain pieces of Jackson board we hope you will be able to obtain some because we should like to run it on a car, and also V.G.91.
