The M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} type regulator is now being adopted on petrol and diesel engined buses, and trolley buses for the L.P.T.B. and other municipal undertakings. This is the larger of the two regulators in size and weight.

In order that you may see the type of apparatus which we have in mind, we enclose herewith a general arrangement drawing of each of the two types referred to, together with typical original photo-graphs. These show the regulators only, and do not include any form of panel or cut-in switch, and the general layout of a panel containing these two items can be seen in the enclosed leaflets describing the HXR and MXR regulator panels.

Of the two sizes of regulator referred to above, we are of opinion that the H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} type, which is the smaller, will probably meet your requirements.

Before putting forward prices for this apparatus, we should very much appreciate an opportunity of discussing the matter with you, so that we may be able to determine your exact requirements as regards performance, and whether you are likely to require a cut-in switch and some form of mounting panel. We shall therefore be pleased if you will be good enough to suggest a date and time when we could call upon you at your works to discuss this matter; at the same time we would suggest that it might be possible for us to see your aero section and discuss with them one or two outstanding points in connection with our proposals for regulators for aircraft generators.

We also enclose herewith copy of our general catalogue of automatic voltage regulators describing some of their applications, since, while this has no bearing on the type of regulators in which you are concerned in this case, we feel that you may be interested to have general information on the subject.

Yours faithfully,

J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} STONE & COMPANY, LIMITED.
