Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MR.11.7.38. TIMING GEAR BATTLES. The attached report indicates that we believe we have now tracked down the source of this trouble. Endurance tests to prove the durability of the camwheel under the improved conditions will be undertaken almost immediately. If successful, it should not be difficult to apply the cure to the 25 Wraith cars already produced. This explanation would seem to fit in with the distributor drive failures. We are repeating the tests on a standard Bentley unit. RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
