Dear Sirs, We have to acknowledge with many thanks receipt of your letter of the 27th instant together with blue prints Nos. G.82601 and G.82602 enclosed therewith. We presume when you refer to the cushioned centre that you are referring to our crimp which is formed on the driven disc and which comes between the two friction facings thereby giving a cushion engagement. We are naturally reluctant to make up separate parts which are the subject of our various patented features and would, of course, prefer to supply you with complete clutches. Under certain circumstances however we may be agreeable to supply you with a limited quantity of separate units in accordance with arrangements which we could no doubt discuss at an early date. In the meantime in order to assist us to consider this matter more fully we should be glad if you would let us have a sub-assembly drawing showing the general arrangement of your complete driven plate assembly and also advise us of the maximum pressure plate lift with your existing design clutch. Thanking you in anticipation, we are, Yours faithfully, BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED. H.T.Barker H.T.Barker. | ||
