Description of Parts affected
Origin: To prevent scotching on working faces of Piston.

Drawing No.
MB.2927

Cylinder bores have smooth finished radius at mouth instead of existing chamfer on drawing F.111. This modification reduces amount of scotching on working side of the bore as the piston changes from one side of the bore to other as bottom dead centre position has been passed.
Estimated cost of new tools £5. 0. 0.
Could be brought on to production at the 1st. chassis in "M" series (without scrap).

It is not considered that Factory Costs will be decreased by the introduction of radiused instead of chamfer finish of cylinder bores and the piston wear will be reduced by this modification. AMC. 21.1.28
