> 1263 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems}16/JH. 18th September, 1936. The S.U. Company Ltd., East Works, Adderley Park, Birmingham, 8. For the attention of Mr. Leslie Kent. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 17th instant, we have not as yet received the Bentley pump but are glad to hear it is on the way. From your remarks about the pumps being sluggish we are inclined to suspect the G-3 diaphragm material especially when it is new. The samples we have had to date have always been very stiff when first set up, but seem to become more flexible after a period of use, and we will have to satisfy ourselves that the pumps will give an adequate delivery and lead when fitted with the G-3 diaphragms. For this reason we should be glad if you would send us a further 12 G-3 diaphragms. For this reason we should be glad if you would send us a further 12 G-3 diaphragms. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
