8.B.V.- BENTLEY III.

Confirming our telephone conversation this morning, the needle roller bearings have failed in the rear universal joint of the propellor shaft. We are hoping to get a new joint from Paris to-night off a Wraith at the Coachbuilders. We have sent the damaged joint back to you. 7-13-V

The body dimensions given are as follows :-

Overall height of car, unladen......... 64.5" 63.375
- ditto - 4 persons........... 63.5" 62.125

Height radiator cap from ground, unladen...... 45.25" 44.25
- ditto - 4 persons........... 44.4" 43.75

a) Floor to inside of roof.
At centre of driver's seat................... 44.0" 43.25"
(of this 1.5" is due to sliding roof recess)

b) Estimated height without sliding roof.............. 42.5" 41.75"

d) Rear board under rear seat cushion

e) Just in front of recess......................... 39.5" 39.5"

The O.S.R. brake drum is badly rumbled, i.e. hard black patches at intervals all round. There are no cracks or crazy paving showing. We have therefore, wired you for a new drum as the damaged drum will, we know from experience, soon spoil the new linings.
