re. 20-HP. Axle Gear Ratio.

We shall be glad if the question of axle gear ratio for the 20-HP car can be settled as quickly as possible.

The present position is that for customers' cars the 12 x 50 axle is fitted to open cars and the 11 x 50 axle to closed cars. All Demonstration cars have the 11 x 50 axle fitted.

We took it from your instructions BJ10/H9.7.24 that the existing instructions in regard to customers cars should hold good and that Trials cars should be brought into line with customers' cars. It would appear, however, from subsequent correspondence, i.e. PN{Mr Northey}3/DN11.7.24, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG18.7.24 and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}12/WH16.7.24. that this matter is not yet settled.

EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn.
