To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} XS430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG4.11.27. CAPT. KRUSE'S CAR. X4117 XS430 We recommend that Capt. Kruse should try the suspension of his car before any further alterations are made to it. With reference to the steering. We consider that the best compromise will be effected by leaving the 720 worm and nut on the car with the old type standard side steering tube springs. The steering appears to us to be rather unnecessarily heavy. If a spring loaded cross steering tube was fitted we suggest that its loading should be slightly reduced. We do not think there should be any complaints of steering shocks on this car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
