1235 S/W To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Duckham's Oil. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}16/E9.11.36 I recently had a visit from Mr.Duckham about the recommendation of their oil for our cars. He gave up worrying us a long time ago but, now that he sees we recommend about four, he feels that it ought to be included. He told me in confidence that he was not surprised that we had included certain of them but was rather surprised that we had included Shell, as he says it is generally regarded as an inferior oil. He is an owner of a 3 1/2-litre Bentley and a 4 1/4-litre. The former has done 27,000 miles on his oil and he would be pleased to let us examine it. Mr.P.M.Stewart, who used to buy Napier cars when I was there, and who is a RR and Bentley owner, has apparent-ly used it since 1904 with satisfactory results, and I enclose copy of his letter for your perusal. Lord Horder is also a long-time user of it on RR cars but he won't give any testimonial for medical etiquette reasons. Would you please speak to me about it when I am at Derby. Sg.{Arthur F.
