X.4383 - RE GOSHAWK DYNAMOS. X.4333

We are sending you herewith dynamo R.3 which was removed from chassis 3GII for inspection and replacement of brush gear. This machine has now been arranged by us with experimental brushes of EG.2 material, and the surfaces of the brushes upon which the springs bear have been slanted to the 17½° angle for improved commutation, in accordance with our recent decisions.

Would you now kindly have this machine fitted to chassis 7GII in place of dynamo D at present thereon, which should be returned to us to be arranged with a further experiment.

You will appreciate we have quite a number of dynamo experiments on hand, and we hope you will assist us to the best of your ability in carrying these through expediently,

EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer}
