SC. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X790 Hsl/LG10.5.28. 14-EX CAR. X7770 With reference to Sgll/MD.5.28. This car will be in London on Tuesday the 15th. and you can keep it as long as you wish. We should like instructions as to where you would like the car sent, and whether you wish our man to stay with it. You realise of course that this car has the semi-elliptic rear springs. The reason for the delay in sending this car is the fact that whilst Mr. Royce was running it he had a 5/1 compression ratio. It is never intended to use a compression ratio as high as this. Mr. Royce has agreed that the highest we should fit is 4.75, which is the ratio we use on the sports car. We are altering the engine so that it will have this ratio.
