To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X790 E1/M24.5.27. RE. EAC. 7. X.7770 X.790 X.7050 We are pushing on with a revised engine having a 9" high crankchamber, and cyl. blocks fitted with dry liners, as it is not thought worthwhile to standardise EAC. 7. engine in its present form. This engine can also be tried with alternative cyl. blocks having wet liners, using the same crankchamber, cyl. head and valve gear. We should like to know what compression ratio is now in use on EAC. 7., and if this is considered satisfactory. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
