Dear Sirs, Attention of Mr. C.T.Salt. In reply to your communication of the 11th concerning 14 Pistons for your 3.5" bore engine which have been subjected to the weight reduction treatment, we are just on the point of producing Castings in the Foundry which represent our third attempt to achieve the desired result, and which we feel fairly confident will be successful. That being so the finished Pistons should be in your hand during the week ending 5th April. With regard to 36 Pistons to Drawing RE.1821, also mentioned in the same communication, these are well forward and we expect to despatch same to you by the 21st instant. Referring now to your communication of the 12th concerning Pistons LM.101, we thank you for sight of the communication you received from the Ealing Park Foundry, but would advise you that inspite of this pressure and further efforts of our own, the supply of the Castings for the Die Body has been very protracted, and it has only been possible to finish the Foundry equipment last week. This equipment has now been tested and certain modifications made, with the result that satisfactory Castings are anticipated P.T.O | ||
