1021 + 1381 To Mr. Ward from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Mr Green. c. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}15.2.40. MINUTES OF COACHWORK MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 12th. We attach a copy of the Minutes of the Coachwork Meeting held on Monday. February 12th. We have asked Mr. Ward to let us have the increase in cost, if any, which he would expect to be occasioned by constructing the B.V. body of lightened pieces as 12.B.V. body. The next step is undoubtedly to find out what cost reduction could be brought about by utilising Rover material and steel wings on the B.V. body figures submitted at the last Conference. Referring back to Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/JH.22.11.39 it is anticipated that there is a potential saving of something over £40 on these items without going to a fully pressed steel shell.
