RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} KINGSBURY. August 6th,1937. We are returning to you six reconditioned con. rods sent to Kingsbury. These rods were sent under advice note No.W.5171 (5.8.37) allocation Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/R1116 for chassis No.B.35.BL. The set of rods comprise:- 4.EB.1603/4 relined small hole in rod not drilled. 1.EB.1603/4 new. Not drilled. 1.EB.2374/5 relined. Small hole drilled. All the bearings have been filed and although not as bad for flats as previous bearings, they are not satisfactory. Five rods not drilled for the cylinder lubrication and one drilled is surely not right. They are supposed from a Depot point of view to be 100% stock. The returning of these rods are holding the car up. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
