| 200a. To. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} CHATEAUROUX 2/.9.3.38. 6.B.IV.- BENTLEY. We met Martindale in Paris this morning on early shift, and he tried both cars on the way to Chateauroux where we arrived for lunch. We have been very busy all afternoon working on the Bentley front brakes and the Wraith servo, ready for him to carry out further tests in the morning. I was very glad you were able to let Martindale come over, as we have been able to analyse results with a view to settling details for production, and to discuss to what extent the troubles experienced are due to faults requiring correction or to abnormal conditions. Martindale has arranged to return to England with Sr. on Friday in 6.B.IV. I will prepare the 10,000 miles report and send it on in due course. --------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} I.M. Waller. | ||
