With reference to the latter, I fully appreciate the justice of your remarks regarding the difficulties caused by my lack of experience. I must explain, however, that when answering your advertisement, I had hoped that the appointment was not one in which the difficulty was of such great importance, and I cannot afford at present to accept the low initial salary.
