COPY. THE FAIREY AVIATION CO. LTD., HAYES, Middlesex. 13th January, 1933. Dear Mr. Lappin, I tried without success to get in telephonic communication with you. Mr. Fairey wishes to know if he shall write direct to Derby or will you inform them of the following complete list of things which require to be done on the Phantom II:- Engine requires cleaning. He is getting a certain amount of valve sticking, possibly due to dirty stems or weak springs. Some symptoms of valve bounce at high speeds which may be due to the same cause. Clutch slipping. Exhaust cut out jammed. Brakes need adjustment. Perhaps you will let me know if you wish me to take any action in the matter. Yours truly, (Signed) E.L.BURNS. Private Secretary. W. Lappin, Esq., | ||
