Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/G2.11.20. SHUTTERS IN BONNETS. We are recommending that we delete the shutters in Bonnets. We have made enquiries from all our Service Stations and Repair Depots and find that the shutters are seldom, if ever, used. In England they are certainly never used; on all our Experimental Cars they are never used. One reason why we wish to get rid of the Shutters is because they are frequently a source of rattles. We find it is very difficult to make the bonnets so that they donot rattle, but if we do away with the shutters, this will go a long way towards it. With no shutters a better appearance will be given to the bonnet. Not fitting shutters will save in the cost of the chassis. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
