The lengths of levers on the foot brake equalizers of a standard Bentley should be as follows:- Front Equalizer. Outside levers 1.350 Centre plate lever 1.750 Rear Foot Brake Equalizer. Outside levers 1.800 Direct Braking lever 1.875 Servo 1.800 There was an alternative lever system produced to prevent the servo reaching its stop. Front Equalizer. Outside levers 1.800 (Ex.126/6/7) Centre Plate lever 1.750 Rear Foot Brake Equalizer. Outside lever 2.450 (Ex.14670) Direct braking lever 2.5 Servo 1.800 The latter system has fallen into disuse as it aggravates judders and thumps. A mixture of the two systems is quite wrong.
