Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letters of the 10th and 11th instant. With reference to the 15 rollers to our order No. O/21130 will you please send these to us so that we can forward them to Messrs.Ransome & Marles along with the parts which we are supplying. We are anxiously awaiting these parts and we hope you will be able to let us have them very shortly.

We note that you are taking steps to avoid faulty case hardening on future parts and we hope that these will be effective as this trouble is bound to lead to the development of backlash and ultimately failure of the gear.

For the time being we have decided not to pursue the question of the 1 7/16 steering gear. We are sorry that you were unable to send us a print of the outboard bearing.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
