C.C. BY/CS. [struck through] c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ----- X5040 BY1/G.27.8.29. 20 HP. PISTON RINGS. ------------------- The Test Department have/been running a number of engines with plain square section rings on the 20 HP. They found that with five 'L' shape rings the engine tended to run rather dry. They are satisfied now that we should go as soon as possible to plain square section rings. The D.O. should therefore instruct any rings which have not yet been ordered by the Order Officeas square section. This does not necessarily apply to Repair Dept. BY.{R.W.
