R.R. 234 B (200 T) (S.E. 527. 21-2-18) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2129 EH. from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Mr Coverley. Mr Hall. EFC. X 3415 27 NOV 1918 November 27. 1918. BY6/P271118. RECEIVED RE WHITE METAL ADHESION TESTS. Further to our BY/RB{R. Bowen}1/P261118, will you kindly note that it is thought that the plates instructed in the above memo should be made of mild steel and the outside diameter should be approximately 3" instead of as at scaled, other dimensions should remain as sketched. Will you kindly make this modification in turning up these plates. The reason for this is that it is not thought that a sufficient area of white metal surface is shewn to give a measureable tensile load on the testing machine. Kindly note it is understood with reference to this job that Mr Hall will issue any further instructions necessary. BY/RB.{R. Bowen} | ||
