We used this car during the Xmas holidays, and have the following comments to make:-

CHASSIS.

(1) The engine starts remarkably well.
(2) The suspension is inclined to be noisy under ordinary road conditions, and is particularly bad on setts.
(3) It is impossible to see the oil gauge from the driving seat.
(4) The steering definitely got heavier through-out the trip. It gives one the impression that lubrication is not getting through the thrust washers. This should be investigated.
(5) The brakes squeaked intermittently and would not be passable for production. We understand they are panelled but have not Thermoid lining.

COACHWORK.

The body of this car is full of irritating features. The following points were noted:-

(1) The back passengers still sit far too near the roof.
(2) A piercing draught appears to come from the back of the sunshine roof when fully closed on to the driver's neck. I should like this to be investigated.
(3) It is very difficult to close the nearside front door from the inside. It is almost impossible to open the offside front door once it is shut.
(4) The mounting of the sun visors is a perfect disgrace. It is far inferior to the Rover arrangement, and they are always coming out or falling down.
