Dear Sirs,

We beg to confirm the visit of our Mr. Aiers to your works on Friday last, when he left with you a drawing showing proposed application of Split Seal to Crankshaft. We shall be pleased to make up samples if you propose to proceed further.

With regard to your Motor Car applications, we are rather surprised at your refusal to try out our Gits Seals, as we have always understood Messrs. Rolls-Royce never reached finality and nothing but the best was good enough.

Your Aero Engine Dept., have already proved our Gits Seal to be better than the type you are fitting, by a test carried out on an Air Screw Shaft, when a Seal of a competitive make did not last two hours, whilst our Gits Seal was perfectly successful after a 90 hour run. According to this test, our Gits Seal will give at least 45 times more life than the type you are using.

This is not an isolated case, and if you care to make enquiries, you will find no other Seals are used on Aircraft but Gits Seals, furthermore, you will find
