re. CONTROL FOR EXHAUST CUTOUT.
-------------------------

With further reference to the above, and your CWB1/GM/1/2/27 - we would like to point out that this matter has already been carefully considered, and BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has written to Sales on the matter, as per copy attached, as a result of our going into the matter with him.

We are quite in agreement with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and are definitely against dismantling the chassis in any way after it has done its tests and gone through its inspection at the Works.

Already, in our opinion, there are considerably too many alterations and additions made to the chassis after they have completed their tests at the Works.

If it is still considered by Sales Dept. that this part should be detached and tied on to the chassis or sent with the spares, we shall be glad if you will arrange for Administration instructions to be sent through to the Works accordingly. Alternatively it may be considered that instructions should be given for some temporary protection to be arranged during transit and whilst at the Coachbuilders.

OVER.
