EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}9/H2.2.27. (Continued). In regard to your query as to a satisfactory method of attaching these rods to the chassis, the only satisfactory way, if it is decided to do anything in this direction, will be to dismantle the rods entirely and either send them separately or tied on to the chassis. The joints can be left complete on the chassis ready for refitting the rods later. We feel, however, that this will lead to considerable confusion; the rods will be lost or misplaced, and possibly eventually the wrong rods fitted, and in some cases of outlandish coachbuilders, or where the cars go abroad etc., they will possibly not be fitted at all.
