3-Cylinder Induction Pipes to LeC.904

We made a set of the above pipes and tested them on the six cylinder Eagle. The pipes were 1.75" bore and 42" long (Condor length is 48" long). H.P. Chart attached to X.1863.

The distribution with these pipes was good, we should expect the consumption would be as good as we obtain on the Eagle, but the consumption per H.P. hour was down owing to the H.P. being down. Seeing that the H.P. was down, we tried a simibar pipe made from 2" bore pipe. This enabled us to maintain the power at 1700 r.p.m. but it fell away rapidly after that.

If we use pipes on the Condor made to LeC.904, we hsall have to make them proportionate to a 2" pipe on the Eagle, not the 1.75" standard pipe.
