DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}6/CB27-11-20. X.4209 Re Rear Springs - 40/50. -------------------- With reference to the question of knocks between the spring and the spring roller, we find that the Experimental Department are using principally a thin leaf spring, and that the arrangement as made for the thick leaf springs requires a certain amount of modification for use with thin leaves. We accordingly send a print of "A" Scheme 661 shewing how the wearing plate should be modified to suit thin leaves. Would you please put a further experimental set in hand.
