X.4209 WEARING PLATES FOR REAR SPRINGS.

On a number of our present chassis we have had complaints from customers of a knock which is caused by play between the sides of the roller on the axle and the spring. The knock occurs when the car is turning a corner. The reason this knock has become manifest on the later type cars is that when we were using the split type spring, there was a collar on the roller which fitted in the split and controlled the spring from moving over sideways.
