BENTLEY PISTON RING STOPS.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has agreed that we shall make some tests deleting the piston ring stops entirely. Will you therefore please order enough rings for one engine to carry out this experiment and prepare a [crossed out] set of NEW standard long skirt pistons to take them without stops. Probably die cast pistons will be available before the rings can be delivered.
